I'm not the biggest smoothie fan - especially when it comes to breakfast. BUT this morning, I found a blend of ingredients that works, and tastes like a milk shake - but it's all good ingredients. Now that's a smoothie I can get on board with.
Behold.... the chocolate coconut-banana smoothie
Ingredients:
1 banana
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup coconut milk
{FUN TIP: I freeze my canned coconut milk in ice trays,
and add two cubes for a little chill factor}
8 oz almond milk
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup ice
1-2 tbsp almond butter (depending on how much nuttiness you like)
Blend in a blender until smooth.
